29 Book Reviews of 2017 01/03/2018 2017 was a good year for my PlayStation 4 and bookshelves - played 30 games and read 29 books in the past 365 days. Just as AAA game titles, books can also be rated. Plus, let's make the rating system more sophisticated like S&P. But, unlike S&P, my ratings are meant to be subjective. Grade AAA - Reading doesn’t feel like reading. Need to buy a hardcopy just to worship. Grade AA - Has strong potential to extend my toilet time. My cellphone battery lasts longer if I have this book by me, but

Why do People Love Games 08/16/2017 One proud achievement I had in my business school was to convince 3 Schulich alumni (all legit grown-ups) to purchase three PlayStation 4 consoles so that we could start a clan called “IMBA” in Grand Theft Auto Online to rob banks. My affection for games showed up much earlier than for girls when I was a teenager. In Grade 8, my parents didn’t have to worry about any premature love affair or bad drug influence, but my unusual love for computer games haunted them. They ruled out my computer

Are Immigrants More Entrepreneurial? 04/20/2017 Data suggest that immigrants are more entrepreneurial A recent HBR article states that “immigrants represent 27.5% of the countries’ (U.S.) entrepreneurs but only around 13% of the population”. Are immigrants more entrepreneurial? Not just in the U.S., data collected from other 69 countries also suggest a much higher entrepreneurial activity in immigrants. It is unlikely a coincidence. Entrepreneurs are attractive immigration candidates There are a few possible explanations for the disparity.

Acroiss Consulting, a Venture by Arthur Li 04/01/2017 Never considered being a consultant... Entering my MBA, I didn't know what management consulting really was, neither did I make any effort to pursue a job in the "big four". I thought consultants just provide fluffy advice with an inflated price tag. But two things have completely changed my prejudice: The M&A course by Graeme Deans - The Partner at EY has shown me tons of real beef of consulting with a colossal amount of logical thinking to pinpoint business issues, utter control of applicable
